Goals & Objectives
All successful people have goals!

Goals provide a sense of direction, motivation, a clear focus, and clarify importance. Setting goals helps trigger new behaviors, helps guides your focus and helps you sustain that momentum in life.

To have a worthy goal means to always have a clear picture of your final destination. Clear and specific goals will determine your success in life. Your goal should reflect your passion, your purpose and your vision about what you want out of life in the next 100 days. Before starting The Core Challenge, make sure your goal is defined following the next steps:

1- Define your Fitness Purpose - Before setting your goal for The Core Challenge, you need to have a clear fitness purpose - the reason to commit yourself to exercising everyday. The following is a list of the most common fitness purposes for you to use as guidance:

  1. To practice competitive sports

  2. To enjoy an active life style

  3. To live a healthy life

  4. To play sports all my life

  5. To stay lean and healthy for life

  6. To have a beautiful body

  7. To be a professional dancer

  8. To lose weight

  9. To reach my fitness potential

  10. To live happier and longer

  11. To become a fitness trainer

  12. To reach my fitness potential

  13. To be a professional athlete

  14. To be a professional tennis player

ACTION: Write one line description of your fitness purpose.

2- Define Your Fitness Desires - Now that you know your fitness purpose, make a list of the specific desires that are important for you and that will support your fitness purpose. To help you make your list, take a look at the following example:

  1. Good Posture

  2. Lean Body

  3. Flexibility

  4. Strength

  5. Coordination

  6. Endurance

  7. Speed

  8. Symmetry

  9. Relaxation

  10. Good Shape

ACTION: Make a list of your 5 fitness desires.

3- Set Your Fitness Priorities - Based on your values and fitness purpose, arrange your fitness desires by priority. Write down your 5 most important fitness desires by priority. For example:

  1. Lean Body

  2. Strength

  3. Good Posture

  4. Good Shape

  5. Flexibility

ACTION: Make a list of your 5 fitness goals.

4- Set SMART Goals - SMART is an acronym that you can use to guide your goal setting. To make sure your goals are clear and reachable, each one should be:

  • Specific (simple, sensible, significant).

    • What do I want to accomplish?

    • Why is this goal important?

    • Who is involved?

    • Where is it located?

  • Measurable (meaningful, motivating).

    • How much?

    • How many?

    • How will I know when it is accomplished?

  • Achievable (reasonable, attainable, action-oriented).

    • How can I accomplish this goal?

    • How realistic is the goal?

  • Relevant (reasonable, realistic, results-based).

    • Is this the right time?

    • Does this match our other efforts/needs?

  • Time limited (time/cost limited, time-sensitive).

    • Enough time to achieve the goal?

    • When is the deadline?

ACTION: For each of your fitness desires, write one SMART goal.

Use a positive phrase to formulate your goals and be very specific about what exactly you want to achieve. For example: My goal is to be flexible enough to touch my toes in 3 months:

  1. Lean Body - Stop eating junk foods for 100 days.

  2. Strength - Do 5 sets of 20 push-ups every day.

  3. Good Posture - Practice Core Training 15 min. a day.

  4. Good Shape - Practice sports 3 times a week.

  5. Flexibility - Practice Body Flexibility every evening.

ACTION: Start right now:

  1. Review the list of your goals daily.

  2. Plan your daily activities - Before going to sleep plan your activities for the next day.

  3. Advance day by day - Be the best you can be one day at a time.

  4. Expect bumps along the way - Learn the rules of the game and play better next time.

  5. Track your progress - With practice you will manifest fitness and prosperity in your life.

Each day of your life should contribute in a meaningful way to the achievement of your personal goal. Your goals are an ongoing process and constantly reviewing them is imperative if you want to succeed. It’s not enough to have goals, without a roadmap of how you’re going to reach your goals and when to review each step is essential to know if you’re on track or not.
